Terms
Last updated 5 September 2026
This site is run by the painter Taylor Wiedemann, in Tennessee, United States. Buying a painting here means these terms apply to the sale. If anything below is unclear, write to [email protected] before you buy.
The paintings
Every painting is an original, painted by hand and sold once. The photographs are of the actual painting you will receive, but colour and surface differ from screen to screen, and no photograph shows paint quite as the eye does. Listed dimensions are the painting’s own; the frame adds to them. Paintings ship framed.
Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is calculated by Stripe at checkout and shown to you before you pay, and shipping is added as a separate line. The price that applies is the one shown when you check out. Your order is an offer to buy; the sale is made when your payment succeeds and Stripe emails you a receipt.
Availability
Because each painting exists once, clicking Buy holds it for you for 30 minutes while you are at the checkout page. If you do not finish in that time the hold lapses and the painting goes back on sale. Anyone else looking at it during your hold is told that someone is checking out.
The artist also sells paintings in galleries and from the studio. If a painting is sold in person in the same moments as your payment goes through, your card is refunded in full automatically and she will write to you. This, and a shipping address outside the area described under Shipping, are the only cases in which a completed payment does not result in a painting.
Shipping
Shipping is to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, the US territories, military (APO, FPO or DPO) addresses or outside the United States. The checkout page says so beside the address form; if a payment is nonetheless made with a shipping address outside that area, the sale is refused, your card is refunded in full automatically and the painting goes back on sale.
Paintings are packed, framed and insured, and usually leave within 5 to 15 business days of the sale; a large painting can take longer to crate, and you will be told if it does. Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery, and shipments are insured until then.
Returns
Damaged deliveries, the 14 day return window and how refunds are paid are all on the Returns page, which forms part of these terms.
Copyright
Buying a painting gives you the painting. It does not transfer copyright or any right of reproduction: the artist keeps the copyright in every work and in the photographs of it, and may go on reproducing the image in prints, catalogues and promotion. Please do not copy the images on this site for commercial use.
Liability
The site is offered as it is. To the extent the law allows, the artist’s liability arising out of a sale is limited to the amount you paid for the painting. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Tennessee, and any dispute belongs to the courts there.
Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top of the page says when they last did. The version in force when you buy is the one that governs your purchase.
