This site sells the original paintings of Taylor Wiedemann, a painter in Tennessee. It is a small shop, and it is built to hold as little about you as it can. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no cart, no mailing list, and it sets no cookies of its own.
We do not sell or share personal information, and nothing here is used for advertising.
When you buy a painting
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Clicking Buy sends you to Stripe’s own checkout page, where you give Stripe your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and card details. Card details never pass through this site and are never seen by us.
The artist can see your name, contact details, shipping address and what you bought in her Stripe dashboard, and uses them to pack, ship and insure the painting, to send you a receipt, and to keep the sale records that tax law requires. This site itself stores none of it: all it records is that the painting sold, on what date, and the identifier of the Stripe checkout it sold through.
Stripe handles your information under its own privacy policy. Sales tax is calculated by Stripe at checkout.
When you are only looking
Two services see something while you browse:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser and does not follow you to other sites. It records the page address, the site you arrived from, how quickly the page loaded, your browser and device type, and your country.
- Sentry reports errors so we can fix them. When something breaks it records the technical details of the failure, which can include the page address, your browser and your IP address. These reports are kept only as long as it takes to fix the fault.
The site is hosted on Railway in the United States, served through Cloudflare, and the images of the paintings come from Sanity’s content delivery network. Each of them sees the ordinary technical details of a web request, including your IP address, in the course of serving the page.
When you email
The Contact link is a plain email link — it opens your own mail program and writes to the artist’s inbox. Nothing about that message touches this site. She keeps correspondence for as long as it is useful to answer you.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything about them.
Asking about your information
Write to [email protected] to ask what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Records of a completed sale have to be kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, so those are the one thing that cannot be erased on request.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
